Meet the Parker Development, Inc. Team

Jack Parker, President

Jack started Parker Development inc. in 1992 and has worked with clients spanning the globe. A veteran of industry for the past 35 years, Jack has experience in: Research and Development, Product and Process Development, Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs.

He has been involved in the development of hundreds of food, beverage, dietary supplement, and spirits products that are sold around the world.

Jack has been a speaker at technical conferences such as: The Institute of Food Technologists, Research Chefs Association and the National Association of College and University Food Service. Jack is an Institute of Food Technologists, Certified Food Scientist (CFS™). 

He is an avid iceboater and musician. Jack plays guitar, mandolin and bass and regularly performs in a traditional Irish Music band.

Emily

Emily Martino, Laboratory Manager

Emily is the Laboratory Manager for PDI. Emily supports all aspects of product development at its various stages. Passionate about food and its possibilities, Emily provides services that include formulating new products and preparing product samples and prototypes, to conducting shelf-life studies and regulatory testing. She also documents everything needed to include on your new product packaging, including ingredient statements, allergen statements, and nutrition facts panels.

Emily holds a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science from Delaware Valley University and originally joined the PDI Team in 2016. She stays active with organizations like IFT, to keep updated on new technologies and trends.

Emily has a black belt in martial arts, and has a few pets - 2 dogs and 14 bunny rabbits to be exact. And to prove she isn’t joking about her love of food, Emily has planned a trip to Paris around the best pain au chocolat bakeries and once ran away from home at age 4 because the neighbors had bacon.

Isabella

Isabella Maczko, Food Technologist

Isabella is a Food Technologist at PDI and is responsible for a majority of the hands-on product development. Her favorite part of being a Food Technologist gaining experience working with many different products and learning new things with every project.

Isabella graduated from Penn State University in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, with a focus in food and bio-innovation. She decided to study Food Science because of her love of food and chemistry.

In her spare time, Isabella has recently taken up skydiving and advanced paint by numbers.

Timothy R Dugan

Timothy R. Dugan, Process Engineer

Tim is the process engineer at PDI, providing clients with expertise in food processing, manufacturing optimization, and product commercialization. He is always excited about developing new products and getting them out of the test stage and into consumers’ hands.

Tim holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and joined PDI in 2023. In his 10+ years in the food industry he has worked for Fortune 500 companies, ingredient manufacturers, and startups. He has worked at all levels of product development, from concept to plant operations, while gaining experience in beverages, bakery, snacks, confectionery, meat analogs, and more.

Outside the office, Tim is a lifelong maker, with a passion for 3D printing and baking.

Dana Parker

Dana Parker, Business Operations Manager

Dana Parker joined PDI team in 2022 as the business operations manager. This means she helps run marketing, client communication and onboarding, and other behind-the-scenes things. Dana has spent the past 10 years of her career working for businesses ranging from ad tech to real estate to the food industry.

She enjoys gardening, baking and visiting State and National Parks in her free time.

Sarah Ip

Sarah Ip, Research & Development Chef

Sarah is a Research and Development Chef at PDI, she develops new food products and formulates recipes for clients. Her favorite part of working here at PDI is being hands-on with unique projects and gaining experience in the research and development field. Sarah graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 2022 with her Associates' Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and her Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Science. She previously worked at a one Michelin star restaurant in New York City before joining the PDI team. Sarah enjoys baking, but specifically making unique ice cream flavors and playing tennis. In her spare time, she recently has taken up photography.
