New Product Development for Startups

1.Background
First, your team will meet with the PDI team so we can understand what your product is. What is your vision and how do you expect customers to interact with it? How should it look, taste, smell? Do you have any nutritional goals, ingredient restrictions or claims you wish to achieve.
2.Development
Next, we combine your vision with our research and experience to begin developing the product and process. Prototypes of your product developed on the bench under controlled conditions. During development, nutritional information and shelf life are concurrently evaluated.
3.Sample Evaluation
We prepare sample prototypes and ship these to you overnight for evaluation.
Then, we review your feedback and direction. Prototypes are adjusted as needed.
4.Packaging Material
Our team collaborates with you to select packaging material that not only aligns with your vision but also provides optimal protection for your product.
5.Shelf Life Studies
Shelf life studies are developed and performed to assess product performance and food safety.
6. Documentation
Product formulations, processing methods, ingredient specifications, and nutrition facts panels are documented and delivered. PDI does not retain any intellectual property - you own your formula. Now that the research and development work is done, you are ready for manufacturing!
